LONDON - Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny assess the Arsenal defense is good. This makes Szczesny not worried about his team's back line next season and will be more serious thought to the issue of physical fitness.
Last season Arsenal's defense is really serious in the spotlight because it is considered fragile. Now during the pre-season, a new Polish goalkeeper conceded two goals which of course made him happy.
"I am quite happy with the defense. We did not concede in the first round (against Benfica at the time) and am pretty happy with what we have done in the pre-season, "Szczesny said on Arsenal's official website, as reported from Tribalfootball, Tuesday (08/09/2011).
The Gunners defeated Benfica by a thin score of 2-1. Despite the defeat, the 21-year-old boy refused to consider the end result because there are other issues more important to him, namely physical fitness Arsenal player.
"I do not give much attention on the results (when Arsenal met Benfica). The important thing is fitness and show the manager that you will be ready to be a starter on 13 August, "he concluded.
